DEAF APPAREL. MORE THAN A DEAF BRAND

The story of Deaf Apparel started during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown with Amélie.

Amélie lip reads, she's deaf. While her disability never held her spirits back, her social life took a new turn this Spring when wearing face masks became mandatory. All of a sudden, no matter where she went, she couldn't understand anyone anymore.

She decided to imagine clothes that could raise awareness around her (invisible) disability. A simple piece of clothing that would kindly suggest "please take off your mask or write down what you want to say, so we can communicate."

Even though Deaf Apparel was born to help hard-of-hearing people, this capsule collection is made to embrace all minorities.
